With the new Pulse16, Ferrofish continues their successful tradition of high-quality and affordable A/D – D/A converters. The Pulse16 offers 16x16 balanced analog inputs and outputs and can handle pro studio levels up to +20dBu. On the digital side, four ADAT I/O ports provide a full 16x16 channel operation even in 96 kHz SMUX mode.
FULL CONTROL AND EASY OPERATION
The headphones output on the front panel of the Pulse16 lets you monitor every mono or stereo signal on the fly. The two TFT displays give detailed level information for all 32 signals at a glance. The innovative always-on contextual help, much loved by A32 users, is also shown when navigating the menus and makes using the Pulse16 a breeze.
SOUND QUALITY
Using the most recent converter generation from Cirrus Logic combined with an active digital jitter reduction circuit results in an exceptionally detailed resolution and great overall sound. No matter if you work in 48 kHz or 96 kHz – the Pulse16 from Ferrofish always delivers a full complement of 16x16 channels at the highest quality.
Features:
Cirrus Logic 24 Bit / 96 kHz converter
16x16 analog I/O channels
16x16 ADAT I/O channels in 2x2 TOSLINK ports
Full 16x16 analog channel count even at double sample rates (SMUX @ 96 kHz)
Wordclock I/O (BNC)
MIDI I/O for remote control
2 x TFT screens giving complete control over all levels and system settings
Proprietary circuit for active jitter reduction

Fan-less design – no noise
1HE, 19“ solid metal chassis
Like the Pulse16 MX, the Pulse16 DX has 16 fully balanced analog inputs and outputs with ADAT and MADI interfaces. In addition, the Pulse16 DX offers two RJ45 ports for integration into a DANTE audio network.
This means that not only all 16 analog inputs and outputs can be integrated into a DANTE network, but also that the Pulse16 DX can be used as a format converter between the various digital interfaces (ADAT, MADI, DANTE).
Features
Cirrus Logic 24 Bit / 192 kHz converter
16 x16 channels analog I/O
DANTE I/O (2x RJ45 Dante)
Optical MADI I/O (SFP module)
Single- or multimode-operation via SFP module
Wordclock I/O (BNC)
MIDI I/O for remote connection
Routing matrix
2 x TFT screens allow complete control of all levels and settings on the device
Active-jitter-elimination circuit
Input gain of all analog channels switchable in 1dB steps (-8 dBu to +20 dBu)
Output level of all analog channels switchable in 1dB steps (-8 dBu to +20 dBu)

Like the Pulse16, the Pulse16 MX offers 16 fully balanced analog inputs and outputs and processes levels of up to +20dBu in professional studio quality. An optical MADI port per SFP module and four ADAT I/O ports are available as digital interfaces.
This means that all 16×16 analog channels can still be used at 192 kHz (with MADI). Thanks to the exchangeable SFP modules, singlemode and multimode MADI transmission can be selected at any time and without great effort.

FERROFISH VERTO SERIES
The VERTO series make integration of digital ADAT and MADI into an existing DANTE network really easy. The compact enclosure of 1RU height and a ½-19“ width saves a lot of rack space. Every VERTO device features word clock I/O for external synchronization and is remote controllable via MIDI or MIDI-over-MADI (VERTOMX). No matter if used together with our A16 MKII, A32 or Pulse16, or a converter from another brand – simply connect to the VERTO via ADAT or MADI – and you’re ready to go!
REMOTE CONTROL VIA THE DANTE NETWORK
Both the VERTO series and all other converters from Ferrofish can be remotely controlled via the DANTE Network. If all devices are connected via MIDI, the VERTO converts all DANTE audio streams to ADAT or MADI and the control commands sent over DANTE into MIDI remote control messages. The VERTOMX offers an additional feature: Instead of a separate MIDI Port the MIDI messages are extracted from the MIDI-over-MADI port.
